Biography

Nicole joined Bowman in 2002 and serves as a Principal in the Audit Department, where she is a leader in the firm’s affordable housing practice. Nicole has extensive experience in the tax and financing programs associated with the development of housing, and has supervised the audit and related accounting functions from project inception through the development, construction, rehabilitation, refinance, and sale phases.  She has assisted developers, syndicators, and financial professionals with structuring transactions in numerous jurisdictions to maximize tax benefits for the investors, and provide the most effective use of leverage in delivering affordable units to benefit the needs of low income tenants.  She has served as an expert witness in accounting matters, and leads our firm’s practice in the audits of cost certifications.  In addition to her work in affordable housing, she has significant experience in working with conventional real estate developers, construction contractors, and nonprofit organizations.

Nicole earned her bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in accounting from California State University Stanislaus in 1998. She is a dedicated professional who believes in being a hard worker but not being too hard on herself.
