Our digital collaboration
hub has gone live

Alliott Global Alliance (AGA) - which has 225 independent professional services member firms in some 100 countries - hosted two online events to help businesses and clients navigate the evolving trade environment.

Drawing on the expertise of accounting and legal professionals from AGA member firms in Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, Mexico, and the US, the sessions delivered a comprehensive analysis of the reforms, addressing the challenges posed by the new tariff regime while also exploring emerging opportunities for businesses in this current and shifting trade landscape.

The events included a detailed breakdown of the new tariffs, outlining which industries and products are likely to be affected, and how businesses can assess and manage their exposure. Practical advice was also shared on mitigating the potential risks associated with higher tariffs, including exploring alternative sourcing options, supply chain optimization and how to use existing trade programs to reduce cost burdens.

While the tariffs present significant challenges, our contributors also identified potential advantages. For example, domestic manufacturers may benefit from reduced foreign competition, while others might gain a competitive edge through strategic positioning.

A consistent theme throughout was the importance of closely monitoring policy developments and seeking professional advice to stay ahead of the curve.

To support you further, our dedicated Tariffs Update page provides ongoing insights and resources to help you navigate this period of uncertainty. We encourage you to visit it regularly to access our webinar recordings, main takeaways, latest updates and contact details of our contributors.
